Interim Executive Management

The Interim Executive Management program provides experienced leaders at short notice to facilitate and accelerate change, fix broken business units or rescue “off the rails” projects and customers. 

It is Velconsult’sexperience that in most cases organisations are already going through, or about to experience major change or in the middle of a disaster. It is therefore critical to a successful outcome that a framework and experienced leaders are rapidly deployed to bring about discipline, planning and execution. The main purpose is to instill a high level of professionalism, identify and communicate direction and engage the organisation in execution at all times. This will lead to reducing operational risk and align the organisation to outcomes.

The Velconsult framework engages an organisations management team, the people and the Interim Manager to create a collaborative environment to focus on outcomes. The framework develops a plan, tests the plan and provides a project management platform to execute the plan.  The Organisations Executive Team, the Interim Manager and Velconsult are admitted as stakeholders of the Interim Management Program at the time of commencement.

  • Sets the conditions for future success and prepares for a permanent managerial solution

  • Produces the Business Case including Objectives, Critical Success Factors and Budget
  • Assists the organisation to develop their vision and reduce to writing SMART objectives and plans
  • Works with the Interim Team to identify roadblocks and develop workarounds
  • Attends regular reviews to monitor progress and measure success
